Mini Rodini is such an iconic brand for littles it rarely needs introducing.  The children’s wear label was established in 2008 by Swedish illustrator / designer Cassandra Rhodin.  Her aim was to make children clothing not only mostly unisex but also to allow for the characteristics we long to see in our children - playfulness, quirkiness and creativity to shine through.  Clothes need not be restrictive and the design and manufacture of the Mini Rodni collections allows for rock climbing, forest walks, beach plays and rivulet splashing.  The possibilities are endless.

Cassandra’s vision for Mini Rodini was to create sustainable clothing for children with certified organic cotton pieces in the collections as well as using recycled materials.

Each season I am inspired by their range.  There is always a design I must have for my boys be it due to an interest they have, such as the perfect sea life series captured this season in the dolphins and whales (which are the littlest’s most favourite things besides penguins), or the past seasons designs of toucans and the classic panther.  There is always a perfect winter coat and rain jacket and endless choices in tees and jumpers.

Each season there are pieces which are a perfect edition to our curated wardrobes in which we can mix and match with other great brands such as Bobo Choses and Popupshop.  For us a few pieces each season are required for as my boys continue to grow are always in need of new jumpers and winter coats.  Luckily for my I have two boys so hand me downs work perfectly and each piece can last me many years so once they grow out of a piece it doesn’t stay hidden for long and I get to see my favourite styles on another little person for a new season.
